While Shanghai commuters can already enjoy the speed thrills of a maglev ride (magnetic levitation train), it is still not clear when a similar railway line in Munich, Germany will see the light of day. Due to the current financial crisis, Deutsche Bahn postponed the €1.7 billion ($2.5 billion US$) project to an unspecified date.
